Building and Promoting Flagships

As we all know, building and promoting Flagships can be a major pain in the b*tt! It's pretty difficult to obtain the required materials and there are a couple of reasons why. First off, Flagship materials aren’t just handed out like candy, they are pretty rare to find. Another reason is that it can be pretty overwhelming and confusing to even attempt gathering the materials you'll need. But don't fret, I've done all the hard work so you don't have to. If you follow this guide you'll have a glorious collection of Flagships that you can brag about!
There are two main steps you're gonna have to take to gather those precious materials. First, you'll need to collect a good amount of wanted posters of varying levels depending on which Flagship you're planning on building. For that, you're gonna need to kill regular pirates. Regular pirates are the ones scattered all over the universe map. Certain regular pirates drop certainly wanted posters. We'll dive into that later though.
After you've gathered a good amount of wanted posters you're gonna have to (you guessed it), kill wanted pirates! Those mean ol' wanted pirates are the source of all the Flagship materials you'll need. Each poster level offers different Flagship materials. I'll break all that down for you later as well. Make sure you have plenty of action points because those posters are hungry for AP. Now let's break it all down so you can go kick their butts and start building and promoting Flagships!
To make life easy on yourself, hop over to the Flagship Factory first and choose which Flagship you want to either build or promote. It's best to focus on just one Flagship at a time so you can narrow down which regular pirates and wanted pirates to eliminate. The Flagships in the factory are already in order from easiest to hardest as far as obtaining their materials (for the most part). For example, if you're trying to build Nemain, Ishtar or Horus, it's going to be a lot harder to obtain the required blueprints as compared to Ashur or Moloch. Additionally, Nemain, Ishtar and Horus remain locked until your Flagship Factory reaches level 20 for Nemain and Ishtar, and level 25 for Horus.
Now that you've chosen which Flagship you want to build, find it on the handy dandy guide I made for you. Then you can easily find out which regular pirates to defeat so you can get those posters.

I know I know, apart from blueprints for Nemain, Ishtar and Horus, the levels for the wanted posters are the same for every Flagship. So how will you know which levels will drop your Flagship's materials? Ultimately, you can't know, but we can kinda narrow it down to a smaller range. Remember what I said earlier about the Flagships being in order from easy to difficult? Now that comes into play. For example, let's say you need a promotion kit for an Ishtar, while it's not impossible, you're gonna have a much tougher time getting one from a level 3 poster than you would from a level 10 or 11 posters. You'll kinda need to gauge a sweet spot according to the ship you've chosen to build/promote. Trust me, it's frustrating for me too. Now that you've got a decent enough idea of which wanted posters you'll need, let's move on to the regular pirates so you can find the posters easily.
You can obtain specific wanted posters by defeating pirates scattered around the universe map. Following is a list of pirates and the wanted posters they drop. It should be noted that drop rates are low. But as a helpful guideline, this list shows what you can typically expect from each pirate. Wanted Posters can also be obtained by defeating Aliens.

So there you have it! All you need to know to find what you need for those glorious Flagships. And don’t forget, you can also purchase Flagship Blueprints and materials in the Trade Shop. So keep those trade vessels running and gather up as many Trade Tokens as possible to help you along your way toward creating your deadly collection of Flagships.
